A standalone release of DariusBurst: Another Chronicle EX+ is making its way to Switch and PlayStation 4 on June 11 with both digital and physical releases, Taito and ININ Games have announced.
DariusBurst: Another Chronicle originally came out in arcades in 2010, building upon the PSP game DariusBurst and taking it back to its coin-op roots. It’s seen a number of revisions since, including DariusBurst: Another Chronicle EX for arcade in 2011 and DariusBurst: Chronicle Saviours for PC and consoles in 2015. Another Chronicle EX+ includes everything from the arcade version of EX, along with some new scenarios, a new replay mode, and the Silver-Hawk Murakumo playable in all modes for the first time.
Another Chronicle EX+ is being developed by Pyramid, with the original Another Chronicle team behind it. It’s also coming out as part of Darius Cozmic Revelation later this year, alongside G-Darius HD—but with that being a limited-run, physical-only release, it’s nice to have the option of buying EX+ separately. Here’s hoping G-Darius HD gets its own standalone release, too, like it did in Japan earlier this year.
